ABOUT ME
I’m currently a Professor of Practice in Music Theatre at the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts where I teach music theatre performance and direct a yearly mainstage musical. In addition to my academic work, I’m a freelance stage director specializing in opera and music theatre. I’ll be heading to Virginia Opera to direct their community outreach production of Dragon’s Breath in January 2026. Other recent projects include Don Pasquale at Opera Saratoga in 2023 with the Berkshire Eagle noting “Meaghan Deiter’s lively stage direction was ingenious.”
I specialize in music theatre and opera in both the academic and professional spheres. Recent productions include Sweeney Todd, Brigadoon, Oklahoma!, Company, Hello, Dolly!, Once Upon a Mattress, She Loves Me, With Blood, With Ink, and Cold Mountain. My work has been featured by Mountain Lake PBS, The Schenectady Daily Gazette, and the Lake Champlain Weekly among other publications.
